Painting in Hawaii

A couple weeks ago due to bad back I did this little 6x8" oil painting "Gentle Slope" from the comfort of my wingback chair using my tiny paintbox.   Definitely not done on location, just made it up. Had to try out a turps-free linseed gel medium. Love the stuff.  Didn't have the problem of getting too oily too fast. I rubbed a little into my panel and that was nearly all I needed. Only added a tiny bit into my oil paint if any at all.

*Framed in a 2 1/4” wide wood frame with warm, antiqued black finish with brushed gold highlights.
