Painting in Hawaii
Sold: Some Right Before COVID and Some During

Honls Time - 8x10" oil on panel: nearly finished this one on the beach at one of the famous bodyboarding beaches in Kailua Kona. Honls Beach is a favorite spot for morning coffee and just a short walk from my house.

From Makai To Mauka - 6x6" oil on panel: I painted this one at the Koloko Fishponds in the early morning.

Honokohau Canoe House is a 6x8 oil on panel: such a serene, peaceful place. So blessed to be able to try and capture the moment here.

Morning AT Wawaloli is a 5x7" oil on panel: this little one was done on the beach in the area just south of the Kona Airport referred to by the locals as NELHA, aka The Natural Energy Laboratory of Hawaii Authority. NELHA is described on their website as the "world's premier Hawaii Ocean Science and Technology Park (HOST Park) where we grow sustainable industries using sunshine, seawater and ingenuity". Very cool right?

Palm Shadow at Honokohau - 8x10: oil on panel: this location is one of the beaches in Kailua Kona at the Honokohau Harbor, AKA Dog Beach. nice calm place to swim.

It's A Secret is a 5x7" oil on panel: a secret path that opens up to a most beautiful beach here on the Big Island of Hawaii. Shhh!

Shoreline Shade is a 2.5x3.5" oil on panel: painted on location. The south side of Old A's beach is one of my favorite places to be alone and read a good book. "Old A's'" is short for what used to be the old airport in Kona that ran parallel along the ocean. It is a beautiful long stretch of sand with trees, lava and lots of tide pools.

Cloudy Morning is a 2.5x3.5" oil on panel: I love painting in the early morning hours. This morning was quiet and peaceful with beautiful subtle colors above me. It was the colors in the sky that caught my attention and called me to capture that moment in time.

Palms & Lava is a 2.5x3.5 0il on canvas: this one has it all, palms, lava, sand, ocean and Hualalai volcano in the distance. PS Definitely need to improve on my photo skills.
